The Problem with a Show-Jumping Saddle
Jumping saddles are engineered to keep you out of the saddle.
- The Seat Conflict: A jumping saddle has a flat seat and a low cantle, allowing the rider to slip into a forward two-point position. If you try to sit deep for a dressage test, you will constantly feel like you are sliding backward toward the cantle.
